Screening of Utopia London 6th December

As a related side-project from our Conserving C20 activities I have been involved in organising the upcoming screening of the excellent documentary ‘Utopia London‘.

This is taking place at the Mitchell and Kenyon Cinema, UCLan, in Preston on Thursday 6th December.  The event is open to all.

I’m very pleased to have Tom Cordell, director of Utopia London, to introduce the film and provide a Q&A afterwards.  To add a bit of local flavour the North West Film Archive is contributing a short film which will kick off the evening.  As a fan of New Towns, I’m very much looking forward to watching ‘An Old Wives Tale’ this is a promotional film produced by the Central Lancashire Development Corporation in 1972 to promote the virtues of living in the North West!

I hope that some @conservingc20 followers will be able to make it along on the night.

Event: Utopia London with short from North West Film Archive

Location: Mitchell Kenyon Cinema, Foster Building UCLan

Time: 6.15pm for 6.30pm start

Admission: Free, no booking required.
