Architectural Enthusiasm Roadshow

Next week we’re going up to Edinburgh for the RGS-IBG conference.  In addition to the paper session and walking tour that we’ve included in previous posts we are also taking part in an exhibition themed around ‘Civic Geographies’.  Our work with volunteer guides and enthuisasts of twentieth century architecture has raised many questions about how the built environment can be a focus for collective action, so we’re looking forward to talking about our project to and its civic geographies next Thursday morning.  Plus I’ve just realised that the exhibition will be taking place in the David Hume Tower – a very suitable location for our C20 enthusiasts!
